LHEO Six-a-Side Winchester League - Match #1

Nine courageous employees from Lionel Hitchen (Essential Oils) ltd braved the damp winter weather to play the first match of the Winchester 6-a-side league at Aylesford, near Winchester. Despite the pouring rain, the event attracted a substantial crown of supporters (Peter Hitchen, Steph Meaden, and Mike Smith).

The final score was 4 - 0 to the XI ½ Lungs team. The score would probably have been higher if it had not been for the LHEO's goal-keeper, Bill "The Cat" Pickworth. Bill was awarded Man Of The Match.

After the match, John Hollingworth, LHEO team coach, commented on his team's performance: "It was a fine game but futuristically, we need to be fitter and communicate better. I can see competition for places becoming fierce"
