Vacancy for an Engineering Manager

JOB TITLE:        Engineering Manager
REPORT TO:     The Company Board
LOCATION:        Based at Barton Stacey site with visits to the Virginia Works and Kingsgate House sites at Andover

JOB PURPOSE
To manage the Engineering Department and major facilities.

 KEY TASKS

• Manage Engineering Department to provide an effective response to planned maintenance and breakdowns
• Management of all capital projects from concept to completion
• Responsible for plant design, specifications, procurement, cost control, installation, commissioning, testing, plant handover and subsequent maintenance
• Environmental control and fugitive emissions containment, odour abatement facilities and responsible for dealing with local authorities on environmental and planning issues
• Provide monthly reports to Management Board
• Improve engineering efficiencies across organisation
• Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the company from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:
Chartered Engineer professional qualification or equivalent 
Minimum of 5 years Engineering management experience within similar organisation
Change management experience
Experience in successfully managing and developing teams
Health and safety qualification
Computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft office)

Desirable:
Knowledge of food and beverage, pharmaceutical and/or chemical industries
Experience of working with quality management systems
