December 2009 - Peter Hitchen visits the Ivory Coast
A company visit was recently made to The Ivory Coast to look at a selection of Agricultural Products that the company may be interested in. The lush green foliage of the jungle and the colourful clothing worn by the locals made for a spectacular sight. The constant temperature throughout the year of between 28 and 32C makes for exceptional growing conditions.
Although Coco and Pinapples being two of the principle exports from the country, Orange Oil and Lemon Oil are commonly traded. A good understanding of French is a must when visiting this old French Colony along with very light clothing to cope with the heat and humidity.
