Company Profile
In 1965, Lionel Hitchen, with twenty years experience of the essential oils industry, established LIONEL HITCHEN (ESSENTIAL OILS) LIMITED to manufacture concentrated citrus oils.
Over the years the business has achieved a strong growth pattern both in volume of citrus oils and by diversification into the manufacture of oleoresins and flavours.
Today the Company provides a comprehensive service manufacturing:
- natural concentrated oils
- steam distilled oils
- alcoholic extracts
- flavours
- oleoresins
- dispersed herb and spice extracts
The Company is a leading supplier to the food, beverage, toiletry and cosmetic industries as well as to flavour and fragrance houses.
Lionel Hitchen (Essential Oils) Limited has remained very much a family business, now led by Alastair and Peter Hitchen (joint Managing Directors) and Alison Barnes (Chairman)
