Earlier this year, Customs and Border Protection officers visited Lionel Hitchen USA to inspect its facilities, security systems, and procedures. A few weeks later, the validation audit was continued onto the site of its main supplier, Lionel Hitchen (Essential Oils) Ltd, based in the United Kingdom . Fully committed to building co-operative relationships that improve the international supply chain security, Lionel Hitchen (EO) Ltd organised, during this visit, a meeting between U.S. CBP officers and British HM Revenue & Customs officers, to discuss and compare the American C-TPAT and European AEO (Authorised Economic Operators) programs.
